How long does store approval take?
24–72 hours. We review every store to keep Alessart safe, high-quality, and trustworthy.
Why do stores need approval?
To protect buyers and the community. A quick check helps ensure great listings, clear policies, and a reliable experience for everyone.

Which plan should I start with?

Are there hidden fees?
No. Our commissions are all-in, no surprise processing add-ons.
Payments & Payouts
How fast do I get paid for online orders?
Fast and predictable, daily payouts for Completed orders (typically T+2). Your dashboard shows which orders are eligible for the next payout.
Do I need to complete Stripe onboarding?
Yes Stripe Connect Express (KYC) is required to receive payouts.
Is there a minimum payout amount?
Yes, $50. Any balance under $50 simply carries over to the next cycle.
How are mixed orders (products + services) paid?
They follow the same daily T+2 rule once the order is marked Completed you’ll see one clear payout.
Who covers payout fees?
For standard payouts, Alessart covers the bank-deposit fee. If you choose Instant Payout, Stripe’s instant fee is deducted from your deposit.
Shipping & Pickup
Can I use my own carrier accounts/rates?
No. Shipping is managed centrally via Shippo on Alessart’s account for a smoother checkout and label flow.
Do you offer Local Pickup?
Yes (if approved). Turn it on and set your pickup address, hours, and ready times in Shipping settings.
Do you offer discounted carrier rates?
Rates are calculated in real time through Shippo and may vary by carrier, package, and destination. We don’t promise additional discounts.
How are shipping rates and labels handled?
Customers see and pay live shipping rates at checkout. We receive the shipping payment, generate the label for you, and send it to your dashboard/email. You just pack the order, stick the label on, and hand it to the carrier (or schedule pickup). Tracking is shared automatically, no carrier accounts or rate setup needed.
POS (In-Person Sales)
Do you support in-person sales?
Yes. Our POS connects your online catalog with in-person checkout so you can sell in your store, at events, or pop-ups under one account.
Is the POS System required?
No, it’s optional. Use it when you’re ready to sell in person. The advantage is simplicity: one catalog, one inventory, one dashboard. In-person sales automatically sync stock with your online store, share customers and reports, and pay out on the same schedule.
How much does the POS cost?
A one-time $150 setup & configuration (limited-time 10% off). You can use a phone, iPad, or computer, also compatible with barcode scanners and debit/credit card readers (not included).
Why is your POS commission higher if I pay 3% elsewhere?
Our all-in POS commission already covers Stripe card processing (domestic and international) plus marketplace visibility, unified catalog, Alessa Points to boost repeat sales, and dedicated support without hidden add-ons.
How quickly are POS payouts sent?
Automatically. Same account, same dashboard. You’ll see POS payouts alongside your online payouts.
What hardware do I need?
Start with what you have: phone, tablet, or laptop. Add a supported card reader and a barcode scanner when you’re ready.
Returns, Refunds & Disputes
What is the return/refund window?
Your policy must meet or exceed Alessart’s minimum (typically 14 days) and local laws.
How do service cancellations work?
Set a clear cancellation window (e.g., 24–48 hours before the appointment). After a service is delivered, refunds generally don’t apply—use case resolution.
What happens if a refund occurs after I was paid?
The customer is refunded; your portion is deducted from your next payout (negative balances carry forward). Alessart reverses its commission on refunded items.
What if there’s a dispute/chargeback?
We manage it with Stripe and request your evidence. If the dispute is lost, the amount and processor dispute fees are deducted from future payouts as stated in the Vendor Agreement.
Store Setup & Branding
Can I embed my Alessart store into my website (e.g., /shop)?
Yes, embed or link. Checkout opens on Alessart to keep payments and sessions secure.
Can I customize my storefront?
Yes, upload your logo, banner, brand colors, About, and policies for a professional, on-brand look.
Alessa Points (Loyalty Program)
What are Alessa Points?
A marketplace-wide loyalty program that rewards shoppers and brings them back to your store more often.
How are Alessa Points calculated?
Points accrue on eligible orders after they’re completed. Earn/redemption rules may vary by campaign or category—see the Promotions page for current details.
How do Alessa Points benefit my store?
They drive repeat purchases, lift average order value, and build long-term relationships, without extra complexity for you.
Do Alessa Points reduce my income?
Your commission rate doesn’t change. Any discount from points is applied at checkout like a promotion, and you’ll see the final net sale in your dashboard.
Pay Later (Installments)
Are “pay later” options available?
Yes, shoppers can choose providers like Afterpay, Affirm, or Klarna when enabled.
Is there an extra fee when a customer uses a pay-later option?
Yes, these providers charge higher processing costs, so an additional 3.4% applies to pay-later orders.
Are subscriptions eligible for pay-later?
No, pay-later isn’t available for subscription products or services.
Why is there an extra fee for pay-later transactions?
Because installment providers charge above standard card rates. The extra 3.4% covers that cost while letting you offer flexible payments that improve conversion.
